Modelling a character

To keep my modelling skills fresh and to also improve on them I have decided to try creating my own character which once modelled; I will hopefully be able to texture, rig, weight paint and animate. That's the plan anyway, I will have to see whether I am able to achieve all this and to what standard as I have never modelled let alone rig a bipedal character. This is how far I've gotten so far, half the body - the most challenging part so far being the hands. I've got a long way to go still but enough to keep me busy during the time off from uni.
