This is part of a storyboard created by an artist called Dan Root. When you look at this you get a real sense of what is going on, what he is trying to portray using the characters. Looking at the first frame, by the weight distribution and the expressions on their faces you can see that the boulder is really heavy to move; it's so heavy that when it does move the smaller dinosaur falls forward and lays on the floor out of exhaustion. Even without the descriptive words, you would understand what is going on. A storyboard is a vital part in any film, game or animation it not only describes and plans the continuity, but it also enables the production teams to calculate how much it's going to cost and what equipment is required.
